Wyona M. Aldridge

Wyona Margarite Aldridge, 78, of Shenandoah, died Monday, May 24, 2004, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Aldridge was born July 12, 1925, in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Sherman J. and Gladda Hensley Baugher.

She was a member of the Leake’s Chapel Church of the Brethren and retired from Blue Bell.
Her husband, C.E. “Slim” Aldridge, preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1985.

Surviving are a son, Gary Aldridge of Shenandoah; four daughters, Peggy Rhinehart of Shenandoah, Bonnie Housden of Stanley, Sue Leigh of Bumpass and Melissa D. Shifflett of Harrisonburg; a brother, Herbert H. Baugher of Elkton; seven sisters, Arlene Gilmer of Harrisonburg, Paulene Decatur of Fredericksburg, and Edith Comer, Marion Campbell, Betty Price, Donna Morris and Janice Dinges, all of Shenandoah; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pastor Earl Painter Jr. will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. today at the Leake’s Chapel Church of the Brethren. Burial will be at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.

Friends may call at the Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah or at the home of her son, Gary Aldridge, 406 Long Ave., Shenandoah.
