Dannie R. Adkins

Dannie Roger Adkins, 50, of Verona, died Friday, June 21, 2002, at his home.

Mr. Adkins was born July 5, 1951, in Danese, W.Va., and was a son of Mary Kathryn Jacob Adkins and the late Clyde Mason Adkins.

He was a roof bolter for Eastern Associated Coal and was a member of the United Mine Workers and the Moose Lodge.

On Nov. 12, 1971, he married Linda G. Jones, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Mark A. Adkins of Glen Allen; a daughter, Casandra Hope Adkins of Verona; four brothers, Bernard Ray Adkins of Oakton, Richard Adkins of Verona, Don Adkins of Richmond, and Todd Adkins of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no formal visitation and burial will be private.

Arrangements are by the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
