Lester M. Addison, 56


Lester Mays Addison, 56, of 248 Spiros Lane in Luray, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mr. Addison was born Jan. 3, 1950, in Virginia, and was a son of Jimmie LaQuetta Addison of Luray and the late John Opie Addison.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

On Feb. 13, 1970, he married Lynda Susan Pembelton, who survives.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by three sons, Lester Mays Addison Jr. and Lydell Elron Addison, both of Luray and Layton Wayne Addison of Stanley; a daughter, Laetitia Lynn Addison Meadows of Luray; a brother, Emory A. Addison of Rixeyville; three sisters, Rita F. Millman of Fredericksburg, Nina L. Deemer of Virginia and Dana C. Johnston of Luray and 13 grandchildren.

The Rev. Alan McCullough will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray.
