Lillie V. Acosta, 76


Lillie Virginia Anderson Acosta, 76, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Acosta was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Wardensville, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Russell and Cora Reiner Anderson.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Lillie was a member of the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary.

On Jan. 6, 1983, she married Ramon Acosta, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Acosta is survived by three sons, Thomas Orndorff of Prince William, Va., Kenneth Orndorff of Fredericksburg, Va., and Michael Orndorff and wife, Sherry, of Harrisonburg; two daughters, Donna Young and husband, Jim, of Fredericksburg, Carol McNeil of Fredericksburg; a foster son, Robert Moore; one brother, Carl Anderson; 24 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Loring Orndorff Jr.; a daughter, Sherry Orndorff; two brothers, Clyde and Floyd Reiner; and a sister, Leona Heishman.

A graveside service was held Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Ted Hott officiating. The family received friends Thursday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
