Donald W. Abbott, 69
Donald Wayne Abbott, 69, of Houston, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Clear Lake Regency Hospital from a courageous battle of cancer.
Don was born Aug. 21, 1941, in Charlottesville, Va., and was a son of the late Wayne O. and Lucille Woodson Abbott.
He was a graduate of New Market High School taking honors of salutatorian of his class.
Don was preceded in death by his brother, John Dale Abbott, of New Market.
He is survived by two sons, Rick and Bryan Abbott of Houston, Texas; his loving brother, Fred Allen Abbott of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Joanne Bergara of Texas City, Texas, and Betty Gray Cheatwood of Prague, Okla.; and a sister-in-law. Carolyn F. Abbott of New Market.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at Forest Park East Cemetery, Webster, Texas.
