Fawley-Fulk Family Cemetery - Chester Litten Home. Recording compared against J. Robert Swank's records and Pat Turner Ritchie's notes.
Cemetery Notes
Cemetery is very overgrown. Lots of field stones. Notes in Remarks column were taken from Patricia Turner Ritchie's book in 1999 and from J. Robert Swank's notes in 1967. In 1968 Patricia Turner Ritchie noted "She visited the cemetery with the late Chester Litton. He stated he counted about 90 graves marked with river rocks." In 1967 Mr. Swank noted "125 to 150 graves."

Fulks Run area, Rockingham County, Virginia. From the intersection of Route 42 and Route 33 in Harrisonburg, Virginia, take Route 42 North. Go 13.1 miles (which puts you in the town of Broadway) and turn left onto Route 259 (Brocks Gap Road). About one mile from Turner Ham Grocery, going west on Route 259, is the Litten Home. It is a white frame house on the left after you pass Mac's Superette. The cemetery is behind their house, behind the garden.
