Cemetery Notes
The church is now called Pleasant Grove Victory Chapel. It was previously the Pleasant Grove United Brethren Church. In 1967 J. Robert Swank noted "There are many unmarked & unnamed graves. On the farm of Peter Whitesel in 1824 a log church was erected, the first for the United Brethren in Virginia. This was replaced by a frame building in 1874 which was replaced by the present church building in 1893 at a cost of $1,000.00." Recorded cemetery starting with first row by Route 11 (east) to back (west) and headstones from left (south) to right (north).
