Hohman Family Cemetery. Using J. Robert Swank's cemetery records of 1967, a visit to the Hohman family cemetery was made & was recorded again.

Cemetery Notes

Cemetery is recorded from back to front & left to right. It is enclosed by an iron fence but gate is broken. Overgrown with briers & other growth. In l967 Mr. Swank noted that "The farm was owned by John Homan Kline on hill east of lane to the home beyond end of road 828 north of road 259 NW of Broadway. There were probably a half dozen unmarked graves. On the outside of the fence in field are probably as many other graves."

Several stones/markers were placed in this cemetery in October 2021. These stones/markers were moved here from the Broadway town maintenance yard where they resided for a few years, after being partially destroyed and removed from the Homan Family Cemetery on Skymont Drive in Broadway, VA. Only the stones/markers are here. The graves still remain in the original location on Skymont Drive in Broadway, and a flat marker in front of the property owner’s residence is all that is left.

Cross bridge & take an immediate right onto Route 1411 (Shenandoah Avenue). Go a short distance & cross river to the other side. After crossing the river, take the first left. Go about 1/2 mile & cemetery is located on the right side of the road on top of a hill. You can see it from the road.
