Peaked Mountain Church Cemetery. Compared walk through against the DAR records of 1960s and John W. Wayland records of April 8, 1931.
Cemetery Notes
The cemetery is well maintained. The cemetery area is large and there are many small stones and possibly many unmarked graves. Numerous stones are in German script. John W. Wayland wrote on April 8, 1931; "Old graveyard at McGaheysville, Rockingham County, Va., on the N.W. side of the main road, around the old Lutheran (formerly Lutheran and German Reformed) Church." Today you will find the Brown Memorial UCC near the cemetery.
