Cemetery Notes
Well maintained. It is believed there are many unmarked graves. Excerpts from Early Cemetery Index by Kenneth L. Herr in November 1971. "Land for the cemetery was originally donated by Henry & Anna Wenger. A Wenger girl married an Early, which resulted in the name Early Cemetery. More recently the plot was part of the Miller estate. (Luther Miller's mother was an Early.) Cemetery now maintained by the Early Cemetery Association. Apparently there is no deed."

Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Virginia. From the Courthouse in Harrisonburg, Virginia, take Route 11 south (South Main Street) and turn left on to Pleasant Valley Road (Route 679). After crossing over I-81, take the first right on to Early Road (Route 988). You will see Nielsen Construction Company building (3588 Early Road) on the left side of road and cemetery is behind it.
